Recovery Alliance and Break the Cycle

The nonprofit

Recovery Alliance Group Inc.

Recovery Alliance Group Inc. is the nonprofit organizational and legal home of Break the Cycle. It is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity.

The organization provides the campaign's institutional foundation while Break the Cycle creates a focused public path for awareness, community engagement, media, and fundraising.

The event

Break the Cycle

Break the Cycle is a planned, approximately 7,000-mile cycling challenge and the immediate priority of the campaign team.

The journey is intended to draw visible attention, invite conversations shaped by lived experience, and encourage serious questions about recovery and treatment outcomes.

Why it exists

Attention should lead to better questions.

The campaign does not claim that every existing approach has failed. It asks whether current approaches are producing meaningful, lasting results—and creates room to listen to people and communities affected by them.

How the work fits together

Three distinct roles. One connected direction.

  1. The nonprofit

    Recovery Alliance Group Inc.

The parent organization and legal, financial, and governance authority.

  2. The event

    Break the Cycle

The immediate public campaign for awareness, engagement, media, and fundraising.

  3. The cause

    Recovery Institute

The larger founder-developed educational and treatment-reform cause behind the movement, centered on education, independence, accountability, and long-term life success.
